Lady Justice

Above is Lady Justice who was my figure that I purchased for the second days painting classes at MOAB. She is a work in progress and so far not turning out so bad.

There is still a great deal to finishing on her and I will post new pics as I go.

I have tried for a look of her wearing jeans which I happy with for my first attempt and the black worked out better than I have ever done before. Thank you Andrew for the classes.

More later :)

MOAB 2009 Painting Classes

Well MOAB rocked this year. Not only did I spend far to much money in the first of the three day, which was on almost all useful stuff but I got to spend the good part of two days in a room next to the men's toilet with a couple of guys from ozpainters learning not only some new skills but to let go of a fear or two about painting.

I have started a very nice figure which I will post a pic asap. Lady Justice..

More soon.

MOAB is coming

Yep been a while since I posted but that comes down to moving house, littleman getting older and my travel time to and from work becoming somewhat longer and the most important one I have been slack.

MOAB is coming soon and I am going to take both the painting classes that are being held by the guys from ozpainters. Since the year Victoria Lamb was there and I spent a great deal of time talking to her (yes feel sorry for her), I have checked out the painting comp and checked the ozpainters site as well as the cool mini or not site.

I have painted a few bits and pieces I am happy with and if I find it will post a pic of the Grey Knight Termie that i painted red after seeing Victoria's entry for the Gold Demon that year.

Hoping to sort through some gaming stuff and hopefully havent stored to much at mum and dad's.

More soon!!!!! I hope!!!!!

Well I finally not only got around to some more painting and even took a pic or two.
The Sergeant from the Assault on Blackreach was an interesting figure to paint. I tried not to over work it and make it worse than it was from just me painting it.
The Gold I was most happy withwhich was a new way of trying for me. 1:1 mix of Shining Gold and Scorched Brown, then Shining Gold and finally a Brown wash to give the gold some depth.
another installment hopefully next week!

Here we go again

Well I have been working on my next Marine slowly in the mornings before I start work.

The Sergeant from the Assult on Blackreach in some ways has worked out better than my first Crimson Fist. I will post a pic or two in a few days after I have had time to firstly find my first figure which could be anywhere since we moved and also the three bases i have started.

More soon!!!!!!!

Old but New

Well since i thought i should keep a record of how i am going in the fact i am trying to get a good size Crimson Fist force together before October and i am as slow as usual.

I am hoping this doesn't turn out to be like my Legion of the Damn Company to which i have all the figures and i have painted 1 sergeant and most of a forge world dreadnaught with plasma cannon.

If i can figure it out i will post a pic of the first figure for the CF force almost complete and he is about 2 months old now... told you i am slow...Add Image
